Volunterring & Donations
Help HACN to Help Others!



Volunteers are welcome to assist HACN, contributing their time and expertise, in all services and programs including:

  • Help with locating affordable housing and furnishing new homes with necessary household goods
  • Providing assistance with transportation and accompanying clients to appointments
  • Assisting to fill out forms such as applications for Social Security, school registration, connection of utilities and banking applications.
  • Raising funds for HACN programs
  • Contributing to the Homework, Youth, Life Skills Development programs and the English conversation group activities
  • Tutoring youths and adults and mentoring African-Australian volunteers & workers
  • Assisting members with driving lessons and obtaining their Driver’s Licence.
  • Being a part of our First Friends program
  • Helping provide/participate in our Community Outreach programs/groups such as our Sewing or Cooking groups.

To volunteer with HACN, volunteers must provide a Police Record Check, hold a current Working With Children Check, fill out a volunteer application and attend a volunteer orientation.
